The Executive Board announces that Isabella Wagner will take over the position of Managing Director of the Austrian Platform for Research and Technology Policy Evaluation (fteval) as of October 2023. With this appointment, she will not only be the first woman at the top of the fteval platform, but will also take on a central role in the further development and management of the organisation.

Isabella Wagner brings extensive experience in research, evaluation and project management. In her previous role as right-hand woman to the platform’s management, she has already contributed significantly to the success and professionalisation of the organisation. It has significantly expanded the existing offering and launched innovative initiatives such as a podcast, a training programme and an artificial intelligence working group. The continuous improvement of the services of the fteval platform and a constant search for ways to increase efficiency and benefit for the members and partners of the organisation are particularly important to her.

We are convinced that she will lead the fteval platform into a future characterised by continuity and professionalism, but also by continuous innovation and further development,” says Sonja Sheikh, the platform’s chairwoman.

The Austrian Platform for Research and Technology Policy Evaluation (fteval) was founded in 1996 and is a network of organisations dealing with research and technology policy evaluation in Austria. The platform promotes the exchange of know-how and experience as well as the further development of evaluation methods and practices.
