This year, the Austrian Council for Research and Technology Development and the Austrian Platform for Research and Technology Policy (fteval) will present the Evaluation Talent Award for the first time. The aim is to honour the good work done by young evaluators to further improve research policy and to make the talents visible in the international expert community.
The expert jury, consisting of experienced actors in the field of research policy and its evaluation, was enthusiastic at the award meeting: “We are pleased about the competent nominations, which cover many different aspects of evaluation. There is a strong generation growing up here and that is reassuring!”.
Because the nominations impressed so much, the jury decided without further ado to award two prizes this year. The two prize winners are two researchers with different emphases in their approach to evaluation:
The Evaluation Talent Award was created on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the fteval platform. The award ceremony will take place in May 2022 during the REvaluation Conference – European Research and Innovation Policy Evaluation Conference.
