FFG and fteval Platform invite to an on-line Workshop to reflect aspects of evaluating FFG's "Impact Innovation" programme. This year, the Austrian Council for Research and Technology Development and the Austrian Platform for Research and Technology Policy (fteval) will present the Evaluation Talent Award for the first time. The aim is to honour the good work done by young evaluators to further improve research policy and to make the talents visible in the international expert community. What can econometric methods do - what can they not? Innovation activities, especially research and development, are publicly funded in many ways (tax incentives or directly through R&D grants, guarantees and liabilities). Together with the Austrian Council for Research and Technology Development, the fteval Platform is committed to the further development of the evaluation landscape in Austria. This year, for the first time, we are presenting the Evaluation Talent Award as a contribution to make the importance of evaluations for evidence-based policy-making more visible to the public. The award is intended to give young evaluation talents the opportunity to position themselves in the relevant community. A prize of € 2.000 is awarded, dedicated to further training measures.
