The main task of the Council for Research, Science, Innovation and Technology Development is to provide systematic, independent and well-founded advice to the Austrian federal government on all issues related to research, technology and innovation policy. The purpose of its activities is to make a significant contribution to a future-oriented RTI policy. In doing so, the Council sees itself as a central node of the network of the technology and research landscape, as a coordinator and amplifier of the diverse activities, as a link between the actors, as a filter and, above all, as an accentuator.
